Real data from the CQC and Companies House public APIs, covering the full CQC register of UK dental practices. Ownership shown as "unclear" means it genuinely couldn't be confirmed, not that the practice is independent. See README.md.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data the Dental Ownership Tracker ("this site") collects, why, and what rights you have — both as a visitor/subscriber, and as someone whose name may appear in the public ownership data we republish.

Who we are

This site is operated by [Your Company / Trading Name]. If you have any question about this policy or want to exercise any of the rights below, contact [insert contact email].

Information we collect from you

This site does not have user accounts. We collect very little:

We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

Information we publish about others

The core of this site is ownership information about UK dental practices, built by cross-referencing two public data sources: the Care Quality Commission (CQC) register and the Companies House register, including the public Persons with Significant Control (PSC) register. Where an ownership chain resolves to named individuals, those names come directly from Companies House's own public filings — we don't independently collect or verify personal information about practice owners beyond what's already public there.

If you're an individual named in our ownership data and believe it's inaccurate, out of date, or that a correction is needed, contact us at [insert contact email] — see also "Accuracy" in our Terms of Service. Because the underlying record lives at Companies House, the most authoritative fix is usually to correct it there directly; we'll reflect that on our next data refresh.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold about you, to object to our processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we've mishandled your data. Given how little personal data we actually hold (see above), most requests can be resolved quickly — contact us at [insert contact email].

Data retention

The subscription cookie expires automatically after 30 days. We don't retain payment records ourselves — Stripe retains transaction records as required by their own obligations. Published ownership data is refreshed periodically from CQC and Companies House and isn't tied to any individual visitor.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
